Every month brings something new in South Africa and April is no different.

Here’s what’s on in South Africa in the last month of Autumn – April.

AfrikaBurn

Once a year, hundreds of creative individuals gather in the Tankwa Karoo to create what can be described as a temporary city of art, themed camps, burning sculptures, costumes, music and performance, that all lasts for a week – this is AfrikaBurn.

AfrikaBurn, which was started in 2007 as a not-for-profit event, is a festival that aims to be inclusive and accessible to anyone and everyone interested.

Date: 27 April - 3 May 2015
Where: Stonehenge Farm, adjacent to the Tankwa Karoo National Park

World Travel Market Africa 2015

World Travel Market Africa is known as one of the leading B2B exhibitions for inbound and outbound African tourism and travel markets.

The exhibition creates both personal and business opportunities for customers and exhibitors, giving them the chance to network and gain quality content, contacts and communities.

11th International Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations

The 11th annual Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations (RTD11) is an opportunity to reflect on responsible tourism initiatives that have been achieved in Cape Town, South Africa and the rest of the world. It’s also a platform to set the agenda for change in the next 10 years.

The expected outcome of RTD11 is the Responsible Tourism Practitioners’ Guide to Realising Responsible Tourism in Destinations, which will reflect input from keynote speakers, delegates and panelists on methods that work.

Constantia Food and Wine Festival

The Constantia Food and Wine Festival features 40 if the finest wines and mouthwatering food from various award-winning restaurants in the Cape.

Visitors to the festival – which is also family-friendly and has an open air kids play area – will also be treated to amazing live entertainment by local artists.
